Neubia L. Harris
Neubia founded The Law Office of Neubia L. Harris, PLLC in 2018. Neubia has extensive education law and civil litigation experience. Prior to founding the firm, Neubia worked as an Associate Attorney with a local law firm where she practiced education law exclusively, and a Staff Attorney at Legal Aid of North Carolina. Neubia launched her law practice to marry her passions of practicing education law, ensuring access to justice in civil matters involving basic human rights, and being an entrepreneur.
Neubia received her undergraduate degree in Communication Studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She received her law degree from Wake Forest University School of Law.
Neubia is licensed to practice in the State Courts of North Carolina, as well as the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of North Carolina.
In 2017, Neubia was one of only sixteen lawyers inducted into the North Carolina Bar Association’s Leadership Academy Class. Currently, Neubia serves as Communications Committee Chair for the North Carolina Bar Association (“NCBA”), the Wellness Co-Chair for the Young Lawyer’s Division of NCBA, as a board member of the Wake Women's Attorneys and is a member of the Leadership and Lawyer Support Committees of the Wake County Bar Association.
Neubia is a native of Wilmington, North Carolina, and is actively involved with the Junior League of Raleigh. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband Michael and their dog Kai, traveling, reading and creating works of art.
James M. Wade, Jr.
Paralegal and Parent Advocate
James M. Wade, Jr. joined the Law Office of Neubia L. Harris in 2019. A proud Champion, he is currently an online student at Liberty University pursing his bachelors in Pre-Law. He currently works as a Paralegal and Parent Advocate in the areas of Education and Civil litigation. James provides a supportive role in every aspect the firm's cases including attending IEP meetings, assisting with document production, obtaining and analyzing records, preparing lists of documents and communicating with clients and related parties. In his free time, James enjoys going to the gym and spending time helping others in the community
Kai is Neubia and Michael's six-year-old Pit-Lab mix and the firm's mascot. Kai enjoys long walks, chasing squirrels and treats. Her favorite people foods are baked chicken and sweet potatoes.
